Wooden Beaded Fringe Collar Necklace

There's a touch of Egypt in this circa 1930's fringe necklace. A double layer of ivory celluloid links are bound together with brass rings to form a flat collar on which colorful beaded fringe dangles. Just loaded with beads of natural wood and painted red, green, blue, yellow, black and gray, this is a playful, yet sophisticated example of art deco costume jewelry, covertly influenced by the Cleoptraesque resurgence of it's time of origin. Each dangling set of beads, measuring 3/4" long, consists of a barrel-shaped bead and is capped with a little round bead of a different color and attached to the collar with brass hardware. Measures 16" long and closes with an old spring ring clasp. The celluloid double link collar measures 3/4" wide. The collar along with the beads measures 1 1/2" total.  A truly fab necklace of mixed media and mixed inspiration, all wrapped up into a must have and wearable collectible. This beauty, although gently worn over the years, does have some typical wear to a few of the beads, to be expected, and is still in very good condition and ready to show off to the world again! Etched Victorian Locket with Emerald and White Stones on Original Chain - Marked

This piece is Victoriana charm and elegance at it's best. A beautifully engraved design on the cover of this rolled gold locket is embellished with a delightful combination of white and grass green paste stones resembling sparkling little diamonds and emeralds. The inside of this locket gets even more interesting as it is marked W. N. Co. on the picture frames, which hold original photos, appearing to be daguerrotypes, of a handsome Victorian couple. This dates this locket as far back as the mid 1800's to late 1800's. The locket face, measuring 1-1/8" round is strung on it's original 12 karat gold filled chain, marked "1/20 12K GF", and measuring 24-1/2" long. This is an exciting and very complete piece of Americana history.  Item# 2125

Filigree Edwardian Lavaliere with Lovely Pink Sets and Pink Enamel

Pretty doesn't even begin to describe how lovely this pink filigreed and millegrained Edwardian lavaliere. Pink enamel in the shape of Flappers plumed headdress decorates the pendant portion and complimenting the three open-backed, prong-set, PINK faceted crystals. Every large filigreed link on this white metal necklace is different, save for the decorative linked chain that attaches the closure hardware. Really nice details and a strange bending on the pendant give this lavaliere uniqueness. It is as if someone has folded over the bottom pendant to make it square, but alas, it appears the maker has intended to do this. It makes the pendant protrude while being worn and frames the main, center pink crystal quite nicely. Circa 1920 and so much fun to wear. Measures 16" long...two-piece pendant hangs down another 2".  Item# 2144

Art Nouveau Filigree Lavaliere with Citrine Glass Stones & Peacocks

This magnificent piece of jewelry, circa 1915 and done in a white metal, displays classic Art Nouveau styling.  The center medallion depicts peacocks perched atop a bezel-set citrine colored faceted glass stone cradled by their beautiful long tails.  Take note of the fabulous flowing floral design so typical and indicative of the period.  Three detailed filigree dangles hang from this centerpiece.  The paper clip chain is adorned by four other open-backed prong set matching stones.  This wonderful necklace will take to your neck like a fish to water - so much to love. This has an old spring ring closure which has lost a little springiness.  Just making sure it is closed properly will secure this piece to your neck.  Measures 15 and 1/2 inches long and the centerpiece measures 2 and 3/4 inches long from the top of the floral filigree piece to the bottom tassels.   Item# 2103

Filigree Camphor Glass Crystal Pendant on Sterling Chain

This is just one of the most gorgeous pieces of 1920's jewelry that we have. Framed in a beautiful, gleaming white filigreed border (probably unmarked rhodium or Sterling coated rhodium), this handsomely carved camphor glass crystal is enhanced by a wonderful filigreed Art Deco center decorated with a single faceted "paste stone". Gorgeous period detail on the filigree and millegraine work on this one. The chain it is on is a delicious overlapping-linked chain which gives it spiraling depth. Marked "STERLING" on the spring ring, this leads us to believe that maybe the pendant is also fashioned from a Sterling base as well (quite common at this time). What a superb and lovely example of 1920's Edwardian fashion. Elegant, sophisticated, and gorgeous. Chain measures 18" long while pendant measures 1 7/16" long with fabulous bail by 15/16" wide.   Item# 2118

Filigree Sterling Necklace with Faceted Indigo Stone

This gleaming white metal (probably rhodium or rhodium coated Sterling) filigree pendant is gorgeous. Circa 1920's, the filigree and millegraining on this is flawless and pretty while the faceted, pale medium blue, translucent stone is breathtaking. The chain it is on is marked "STERLING", but appears to have a rhodium-type finish, which leads us to believe that the pendant might be made the same way. The only marking on it is on the back of the bail and reads "...MFG CO" the beginning has been worked away into the making of the bail. Beautiful and understated Edwardian design on this little gem. It is a sweet and subtle way to show your love of this time period. Chain measures 24" long and closes with a spring ring. Pendant measures 1 1/4" long with detailed bail by 3/4" wide.   Item# 2117

Circa 1930 and so so pretty is this Sterling set with sparkling stones lavaliere. An absolutely gorgeous pendant, reminiscent of fairy wings, has four spun, filigreed sections and set with round faceted stones (single cut), tear-dropped shaped faceted stones and baguettes. Lovely, and fit to wear to your most fancy, dressy of occasions. A really neat and decorative coiled, flat-linked chain houses the elaborate pendant and gives this lavaliere an added detailed boost. Done in a base metal of Sterling (marked on the back of the main pendant with maybe someone's initials...like L G?) and coated in a gleaming white rhodium or chromium so typical of that time period, this gorgeous necklace is just waiting to be shown off again at it's next formal function. Reminds us of the works of Alice Caviness...but an earlier version. Measures 16" long...main pendant measures 1 1/8" wide by 1 1/4" long and closes with an old spring ring clasp.  Item# 2151

Gutta Percha Mourning Pendant on French Jet Beaded Necklace

This is a really neat old Victorian gutta percha and French jet mourning necklace. Circa 1860's-1870's, this necklace was born around the same time the Civil War was happening on our own soil. Wow…what a neat piece of history! And gutta percha was really only used to make jewelry for a short period of time during this part of the Victorian period. It is a finite, rare, and collectable material, made from the sap of the Malayan tree. A sort of four-pointed star of gutta percha is mounted on a gutta percha frame, embellished with matte French jet round beads. This pendant is strung on a chain of shiny jet glass beads of all different shapes, sizes and cuts. Interesting, cool and collectable. Measures 18 1/2" long...pendant measures 2" long by 1 1/4" wide.   Item# 5108
