Czech Carved Celluloid and Brass Linked Demi Parure with Enameled
Clasps |
This circa 1930's demi parure consists of a matching necklace and bracelet pair of carved celluloid rose tiles connected by flat, curled, brass links. Each piece has a sweet, orange enameled butterfly box clasp. Both pieces also have three, light peach colored, detailed carved rose celluloid panels, one larger in the middle flanked by two matching smaller ones. The bracelet has a double layer of chain
all around and the necklace has three layers connecting the tiles and a single chain from the side panels to the clasp. A really fabulous and versatile set to welcome into your wardrobe. Necklace measures 16" long, bracelet measures 7 1/4". On the necklace, the middle tile is 3/4" by 1" and the smaller ones measure 3/8" by 5/8". The bracelet's middle is 5/8" by 7/8" and the smaller ones are 3/8" by
5/8". The bracelet in this set has been worn a bit more than the necklace and shows a smidge more
patina. Interestingly, the larger tile on the necklace is signed "Germany", but both the backs of the clasps are marked "Czechoslovakia"...a beautiful group effort.

Rhodium Filigree Bangle with Faceted Brilliants; initialed |
We get excited just thinking about this piece. Done in a high quality, gleaming white metal (probably unmarked rhodium), this exquisite
filigreed bangle bracelet, circa 1915/1920, is loaded with intricate detail. A breathtaking floral pattern dances around this bangle, complete with
millegrained detail. Three clear, eye-shaped, faceted, open-backed stones are bezel-set into the face of it and they sparkle with brilliance. Spaced in between the crystals are applied white metal floral bouquets. They give this piece depth and character. A fancy scroll design is cast into the outer edges of the frame. When the little release levers are gently pressed, the hinged cuff slides open to reveal an ingenious built-in safety mechanism. Simply snap the closure shut to secure it to your wrist. Inside diameter measures 2 1/4" by 2", will open to 3", and the wall measures 7/16" high. This has the initials
"JHA"? stamped into the safety.

Norwegian Blue Enamel on Sterling Bracelet
|
Scandinavian jewelry collecting has really been on the rise! Metal
worked jewelry (what they are particularly good at) is sought after and enameled Sterling is the highest on that list. That being said, we are pleased to present this circa 1955 Norwegian, Sterling,
cloisonné enameled bracelet. Reminiscent of a romantic Viking and mythological fishing and ocean-loving culture of the past, this bracelet evokes feelings of the mighty sea. In a soothing shade of light ocean blue, this sea-shell like circular linked bracelet is just gorgeous. These eight hefty, enameled circles (like perfect shells found on a shady, white sand beach) have an applied silver bead (pearl in the oyster shell) where they are craftily hinged together. There is a hidden box clamp attached to one of these hinges for easy opening and closing. A sterling linked safety chain is also attached here for added
insurance. A beautiful and collectable piece of Scandinavian Silver jewelry. Measures 7" long...each circular piece measures 7/8" round. Marked "925 S STERLING (picture of an anchor) MADE IN NORWAY" on the box clasp casing and and again marked "STERLING" (twice) on the spring ring clasp.

Geometric Cut Blue Glass Bracelet with Detailed Sterling Linked Chain |
So very delicate and dainty is this Art Deco glass and Sterling bracelet. It's absolutely darling! It has a flat, square-linked chain, decoratively stamped with a fanciful little design. Two open-backed, prong-set, flawless glass stones come tip-to-tip in the center for a dramatic, yet subtle centerpiece. One is an icy light blue, the other a frosty shade of blueberry. This looks terrific with evening wear as it is a delicate and feminine piece of jewelry, and it also looks great with denim. You're sure to fall in love with this belle of the ball. Measures 7" long. Triangular stones measure 5/8" by 1/2". Marked "STERLING" on the spring ring closure.

Sterling European Enameled Coat of Arms Charm Bracelet
|
This is a vintage European traveler's delight! Fourteen Sterling
mementos document one traveler's journeys all through Europe: Starting with a red and white BOCKUM-HOVEL 9marked "KARO 900", then a castle in KOLN (marked 835), a figurine with MUNCHEN 800 JAHRE (marked with initials RL 835), a yellow backdrop with red and white checkers running across reading HAMM (marked KARO 900), a countryside scene of WARMENSTEINACH (marked 800 over a barrel-shaped makers logo), a massive black bird with wings spread out for DORTMUND (marked KARO 800), a beautiful columned building in BERLIN-BRANDENBURGER TOR (marked 835 with a maker's mark), another beautiful scene of BERLIN-FUNKTURM, a red and white castle scene of HANNOVER (marked 800 REU), a lovely old building in S.MARINO, (marked 800 in a circle), a nice black, white and red scene with some flowers on FULDA (marked 800 in a square), a red, white and
blue striped flag for HOLLAND (marked CAV), and a beautiful windmill scene also in HOLLAND (marked CAV.). Our last little charm on this journey is a bell shaped charm...surely once working, it has since been flattened a little and most of the enamel on this one has chipped off, but the remnants of a flower can still be seen (perhaps German Edelweiss or maybe even Swiss). Wow...what a super cool piece of European history and ever-popular travel/souvenir memorabilia. The unmarked white metal chain measures 7" long and closes with a spring ring. Each shield charm measures 1/2" long by 7/16" wide. Have fun with this one!

Deeply Carved Art Deco Chocolate Floral Bakelite Clamper Bangle |
This fantastic carved bakelite clamper, circa
1935, is SCRUMPTIOUS! You could just eat it with a spoon! Three
beautifully carved roses decorate the top of the bracelet while the bottom
portion is deliciously smooth and rounded for optimum fashion AND comfort.
Now it's your chance to wear this beautiful bouquet like a corsage around
your wrist (as it might have been worn 60 years ago) --perfect for a
sophisticated, dressy occasion...and in the purrrfect shade of
luscious chocolate brown. Pair it with a soft pink, mint green or baby
blue for modern and lovely contrast, or contrast it with yellows, greens
or reds for a more vintage look. Meticulously carved, this measures a
fabulous 15/16" wide with carvings 1/2" thick in the body of the
roses, while the rest of the bracelet measures 1/8" thick. The inside

Reverse Carved Fishies on Apple Juice Bakelite Bangle Bracelet |
Bakelite collectors BEWARE! This awesome reverse-carved fishies bangle will swoon it's way into your heart and sweet-talk itself onto your wrist. Rare and highly collectible, this underwater scene, reverse carved and painted, features six plump little goldfish swimming about some coral and petite green foliage with two larger tri-colored
fishies. There are also sets of little green bubbles spaced out in four places around the under-the-sea depiction. This is done in crystal clear apple juice bakelite and delightfully and skillfully painted in bright oranges, reds, yellows and greens. Once worn to a 1950's Sunday barbecue, or maybe to high-school bonfire or dance (that's so
Grease), and now coveted by collector's near and far...this chunky and fashionable piece of jewelry is becoming increasingly harder to come by as it's uniqueness and value is sure to inflate with time.

Sparkling Art Deco Coral Celluloid Cuff Bracelet |
A fabulous geometric and, quite strikingly, Art Deco design highlight this super celluloid cuff bracelet circa 1915. The stylish and linear design has been etched into the bracelet and filled with white, and is accented by several faceted paste crystals. The two in the centers of the flowers are blue! This is a delightful little piece with handmade charm (there is an odd number of stones on one edge of the octagonal design) that really showcases it's uniqueness. There are a few stones starting to darken with age and there is a little loss of the white paint in the etchings of this cuff. The latter can be restored, but I wanted to leave it in it's original condition for you! The diameter measures 2 1/4" and the opening is 3/4". It has a little bit of give so one can get it on, but too much pressure could break this wonderful piece...I would advise a smaller wristed person to take this one home!

Feminine grace is coupled with Art Deco Chic in this delightful and ever-so-dainty celluloid bangle. Applied mottled pink and blue geometric celluloid roses are placed
equi-distance apart in four places around this translucent, goldwashed celluloid bracelet. Set into it are parallel rows of brilliant blue stones alternating with single sparkling pink ones. Art Deco Blue & White Enameled Hinge-Link Bracelet
|
This fabulous, geometric, art deco, enameled bracelet has seven hinged links that close with a box clamp hidden behind one of the links, giving this little beauty a look of simplistic continuity. Four of the links are
enameled in eggshell white and royal blue. The blue enameling has a sort of marbled effect as it gives way to swirls of white showing through from underneath. Each of these enameled links is unique and has a different marbling on each one. The three etched metal links have a linear, art deco design and go wonderfully with the
criss-cross shape of the enameled pieces. This cutie has a gold wash to the front of the bracelet, and a gold plating on the back which is flaking away (more
noticeably than the front). This piece is a real eye-catcher and goes casual with enthusiasm! A lovely and special everyday piece of
