Art Nouveau Filigree Lavaliere with Citrine Glass Stones & Peacocks

This magnificent piece of jewelry, circa 1915 and done in a white metal, displays classic Art Nouveau styling.  The center medallion depicts peacocks perched atop a bezel-set citrine colored faceted glass stone cradled by their beautiful long tails.  Take note of the fabulous flowing floral design so typical and indicative of the period.  Three detailed filigree dangles hang from this centerpiece.  The paper clip chain is adorned by four other open-backed prong set matching stones.  This wonderful necklace will take to your neck like a fish to water - so much to love. This has an old spring ring closure which has lost a little springiness.  Just making sure it is closed properly will secure this piece to your neck.  Measures 15 and 1/2 inches long and the centerpiece measures 2 and 3/4 inches long from the top of the floral filigree piece to the bottom tassels.   Item# 2103

Reverse Carved Fishies on Apple Juice Bakelite Bangle Bracelet

Bakelite collectors BEWARE! This awesome reverse-carved fishies bangle will swoon it's way into your heart and sweet-talk itself onto your wrist. Rare and highly collectible, this underwater scene, reverse carved and painted, features six plump little goldfish swimming about some coral and petite green foliage with two larger tri-colored fishies. There are also sets of little green bubbles spaced out in four places around the under-the-sea depiction. This is done in crystal clear apple juice bakelite and delightfully and skillfully painted in bright oranges, reds, yellows and greens. Once worn to a 1950's Sunday barbecue, or maybe to high-school bonfire or dance (that's so Grease), and now coveted by collector's near and far...this chunky and fashionable piece of jewelry is becoming increasingly harder to come by as it's uniqueness and value is sure to inflate with time.   Item# 1140

This little fella is awful cute. Soaring happily above the war-time woes in the era in which it was created, this happy, circa 1935, bird has beautifully outstretched clean and clear celluloid wings and lovely flowing tail feathers made of the same. His carved wooden body, nicely blended with his plastic appendages, is finished off with a painted red and black eye and a yellow beak (some of the paint is a little worn here). Wooden Souvenir Painted Deer Brooch

This sweet little fella is whimsical and quaint, shy and innocent, and has traveled a long way from "Provincetown, Massachusetts" to join our collection! Circa 1935 and lovingly hand painted, this sweetheart exhibits red, cream and black accents with it's hometown name painted across it's midsection. This little guy has been lovingly worn and has some scratches on his cute little tail and hind leg (very minor here), some paint worn off on the "MASS.", and some crazing of the finish (giving it a wonderful 'antiqued' look). Also, the pin back has been replaced over the many years. A truly charming piece of Americana arts and crafts. Measures 3" tall and 1 3/4" wide and is 5/16" thick.  Item# 5116

Adorable Painted Wooden Deer Brooch

We just fell in love with this sweet little Bambi-esque darling from the moment we saw it! In outstanding condition and lovingly painted, this guy looks as though he's been plucked from a wild flower meadow, about to take a cool sip from a meandering, bubbling brook leading off into the forest, and transformed into an ornament for us to adorn ourselves with. Yeayyy! (Don't worry, no cute and furry little creatures were harmed in the making of this pin...which is circa 1935).  Has a plastic C-clasp with metal pin backing stamped "PAT PENDING" and measures 3" tall by 1 5/8" wide.  Item# 5117

Sparkling Enameled Bird Pin

This guy looked like a roadrunner to us, but he happily sits upon what looks like a perch…do people keep roadrunners for pets? At any rate, he is handsome with his black and white enameled body and head plume of feathers. Sparkling, single cut paste stones decorate his tail feathers, his undercarriage, and his collar. A single stone of emerald green glass gives him a knowing eye. Light yellow enamel decorates his beak while his perch is enameled brown. Some chips in the enamel show how loved he once was (little charmer). Circa 1940. Measures 2" tall by 2 3/4" long and closes with a C-clasp with safety.   Item# 4102

Pair of Paste Bird Pins

This little pair of winged beauties are a show stopper. Sparkling single cut stones dot their wings and eyes as a large teardrop stone makes up their bodies. Pot metal beaks and tail feathers round out their detail. Wear them as a flying grouped pair, or on opposite shoulders for that "sparrows holding a banner tattoo rockabilly look". Each feathered friend measures 1" by 1" and closes with C-clasp with safety. Circa 1935.   Item# 4105
