Gretel thing going on. Quaint all the way, large, orange, round wooden beads are suspended from green leather cord wrapped around a sweet pair of carved and green painted wooden leaves. A tiny white celluloid flower sits atop the right leaf, basking in the cuteness of this piece. Circa 1925. Each berry bead measures 1 1/2 cm while the leaf span measures 3". Closure is a C-clasp with safety.

Sterling Bar Pin with Guilloche Enameling & Paste |
This circa 1920's guilloche enameled bar pin is loaded with intricate detail. Working in a tiny space, this pin has been expertly enameled and
hand painted over. Set into the Sterling frame are five little sparkling and clear single cut crystals. Gorgeous and ever so feminine details make this a lovely piece. There is, unfortunately, a tiny crack in the enameling on one side of the bow tie. The price has been adjusted accordingly. This measures 2 1/2" long by 1/8" wide at it's widest point. This is an unmarked, but tested positive for, Sterling. Closes with an old safety C-clasp and has the maker's mark "LLCO" ? stamped on the clasp. Maybe an old Attleboro company? We cannot tell.

This fabulous circa 1915 celluloid pin is in absolute pristine condition! It simply gleams! There is intricate vein carving and piercing on all three flowing leaves and the flower has two rows of overflowing carved petals with a pierced and carved dome center. Lovely! The pin hardware is quite interesting as it two curved and pointed prongs that are hinged to the back. It is different, but efficient. Measures a fabulous 2 7/8" long by 2 7/8" wide.

This little fella is awful cute. Soaring happily above the war-time woes in the era in which it was created, this happy, circa 1935, bird has beautifully outstretched clean and clear celluloid wings and lovely flowing tail feathers made of the same. His carved wooden body, nicely blended with his plastic appendages, is finished off with a painted red and black eye and a yellow beak (some of the paint is a little worn here). Lovely details on a lovely piece. Measures 3 5/8" by 3 3/8" at it's widest wingspanny points. Has on old c-clasp closure.

Unsigned Miriam Haskell Wood Beaded Cluster Brooch with Red Celluloid Link Fringe |
We are attributing this unsigned piece to Frank Hess who designed for the Miriam Haskell Company from the 1920's through the 1960's. The material & hardware are consistent with his work. Many early pieces were unsigned.
This delicious wooden beaded berries brooch is stunning. Accessorizing has never been so much fun! Each round and wood bead, stained a pale, light bluish-green is capped with a tiny bright cherry red wood bead. The flow of beads that dangle down from the celluloid backed pin are suspended by cherry red celluloid links. It's like a cluster of blueberries bursting with funky flavor! hand painted, this sweetheart exhibits red, cream and black accents with it's hometown name painted across it's midsection. This little guy has been lovingly worn and has some scratches on his cute little tail and hind leg (very minor here), some paint worn off on the "MASS.", and some crazing of the finish (giving it a wonderful 'antiqued' look). Also, the pin back has been replaced over the many years. A truly charming piece of Americana arts and crafts. Measures 3" tall and 1 3/4" wide and is 5/16" thick.

Sparkling Enameled Bird Pin

This guy looked like a roadrunner to us, but he happily sits upon what looks like a perch…do people keep roadrunners for pets? At any rate, he is handsome with his black and white enameled body and head plume of feathers. Sparkling, single cut paste stones decorate his tail feathers, his undercarriage, and his collar. A single stone of emerald green glass gives him a knowing eye. Light yellow enamel decorates his beak while his perch is enameled brown. Some chips in the enamel show how loved he once was (little charmer). Circa 1940. Measures 2" tall by 2 3/4" long and closes with a C-clasp with safety.
